welcome to harmonia.

Set in the year 2300, Harmonia is a futuristic city that expands upwards instead of outwards. People are out and about during the daytime; their spirits are high and many of them appear to be ambitious, like they're always seeking new opportunities or reaching towards something. People work hard and generally seem to enjoy their occupations. People still grumble about day to day life but overall, motivation in the city is at an all-time high.

At night, however, the streets are void of people. The buildings are populated with people and all activity takes place indoors. This is because the streets are dominated by ghosts once the sun sets. These ghosts are not visible to the general public but are known to fill people with dread and cause them to see "false memories" of past regrets, failures, and mistakes.

A corporation known as DICE (started in 2280) has been conducting research on these mysterious entities and has developed technology known as "ghost wards" that prevent ghosts from entering buildings. They've also discovered that their spiritual energy spikes at the borders of the city, which is why city development goes upwards rather than outwards. Finally, their biggest discovery is that at 3AM every morning, those who dare to roam the streets get pulled into a strange phenomenon known as the "Dark Hour".

the dark hour.
Those who enter the Dark Hour will experience a more run-down version of Harmonia. It's post-apocalyptic; buildings are destroyed. Ghosts are visible and can be seen roaming around, though they all seem perturbed by something. You'll start to see glimpses of more "false memories" play before your eyes. Currently, there is no known way to escape the Dark Hour. At 4AM, the world will suddenly turn to normal and you will find yourself where you were just before the Dark Hour hit.
